KANO, NIGERIA, September 10, 2026 — Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, provided 100 orphaned children in Nigeria with essential school kits to help them prepare for the new school year.
According to Usama Rashed, head of West Africa programs at Baitulmaal, the kits included backpacks, shoes, uniforms, notebooks, stationery and other school supplies.
“Thank you for helping provide essential school supplies to vulnerable orphans,” said the mother of one beneficiary. “These kits give our children the supplies they need to attend school, which we otherwise could not afford.”
According to UNICEF, financial constraints remain a barrier to education for many children in northern Nigeria.
In addition to providing back to school kits in Nigeria, Baitulmaal has also provided Ramadan food packages, fresh meat for Udhiyah . To learn more about or contribute to these efforts, visit Baitulmaal.org.
