Man-made and natural disasters, as well as governmental neglect, have devastated Bangladesh’s water supply, restricting the population’s access to clean water.
So far, your donations have:
- Funded meals for Muslim communities during Islamic holidays
- Sponsored electric tubes to provide clean water

Life in Camps is Hard
Additionally, the available water supply is often contaminated by bacteria and dangerous chemicals, threatening those who drink it with serious illness.
The National Institutes of Health suggests that approximately 97 percent of the rural population relies on tube wells for drinking water, resulting in millions of arsenic exposures.
As water conditions worsen, a violent ethnic cleaning in nearby Myanmar drives millions to seek refuge in Bangladesh.
Many of these refugees live in poverty and can’t afford proper shelter, food and other forms of life-saving care.
As the local population grows, Bangladesh’s already crippled healthcare, education and assistance programs could continue to falter.
