Extreme Weather, Dire Emergencies

Nepal is facing a catastrophic humanitarian crisis following devastating glacier collapses, landslides, and flash floods that struck the central and northern regions in late August and October 2026.

The escalating disaster has affected over 84,000 people -- including more than 32,000 children -- wiping out entire villages and leaving thousands of families with nothing. Those who have lost their homes now face prolonged displacement, lack of safe drinking water, and a heightened risk of waterborne diseases. Baitulmaal is on the ground mobilizing emergency shelter and hygiene kits to affected families in desperate need.
