Donor Update (January 2026):

Farhiya’s Hope Realized

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to share that this fundraising project has been successfully fulfilled.

This January, Sister Farhiya was formally handed the title deed to her family home, which had been purchased for $5,625. The handover took place in the presence of her mother, Sheikh Adnan, the chairman of Imamu Nawawi Charity, the uncle of her orphaned children, and several respected family elders.

Sister Farhiya expressed her deep gratitude to Baitulmaal and its generous donors for helping secure her family home and for sponsoring two of her orphaned children. The elders from both her late husband’s family and her own also shared their appreciation, noting the compassion and generosity shown through your support.

May Allah accept your good deeds and reward you abundantly. Ameen.

Farhiya's Story: Fundraising Appeal

Ten Hearts, One Home: Farhiya’s Journey of Hope

Farhiya Omar Daud is a mother of ten children who has faced one hardship after another, yet continues to hold on to hope. Her husband passed away after battling advanced liver cancer. Relatives came together to help fund his treatment in Egypt, but despite every effort, he did not survive.

While alive, Farhiya’s husband sold the family’s only vehicle—a small dump truck—to cover legal expenses related to their land. Sadly, even after selling it, a debt of $5,550 remained. The family’s property documents are still held as collateral until this amount is cleared.

With ten children under her care, Farhiya struggles just to meet their basic needs. Every month, it costs around $100 to keep all her children in school and Qur’an classes. She does everything she can to ensure they continue learning, even when the burden feels impossible to carry alone.

This family has no support system, and no remaining assets beyond the house they live in—yet even that home is at risk because of the debt.

Supporting this family with $5,550 would free their home, lift a great emotional and financial weight, and allow Farhiya to focus entirely on raising her children and keeping their education uninterrupted.

Your help can give them the stability they need—and turn Farhiya’s story of struggle into one of renewed hope and security for her ten children.
