PALESTINE, GAZA STRIP August 6, 2026 — Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, honored 300 high school students at the Hope School graduation ceremony, celebrating their educational achievements and perseverance amid ongoing challenges.
The ceremony brought together graduates, 56 teachers, and approximately 1,200 families and community members to celebrate the students’ accomplishments. Graduates received certificates and commemorative gifts, while the top ten students received excellence awards for their academic performance.
Through its support of Hope School, Baitulmaal helps provide displaced students with access to education and psychosocial support as they work toward their futures. The school is certified by Palestine’s Ministry of Education and recognized as a model school in the Gaza Strip.
“As a Hope School student who achieved a GPA of 97.1%, I am deeply grateful to everyone who supported us from our first steps in high school to this achievement. I am especially thankful to Baitulmaal for standing by us throughout this journey and giving us the opportunity to continue our education,” said Mohammad Abdul Hope School student.
Across Gaza, thousands of students have continued their studies in temporary learning spaces and makeshift classrooms, supported by teachers and school staff working with limited resources. Baitulmaal’s Hope School has emerged as a premier school in the region, backed by UNICEF.
In addition to supporting education in Gaza, Baitulmaal has been on the ground providing food, shelter kits, fresh bread, clean water, psychosocial support, temporary housing, medical support and other emergency aid. Baitulmaal has worked in Palestine for more than a decade providing food, clothing, seasonal giving, and emergency aid.
