In the heart of Gaza, The Hope Bakery is rising as more than a building — it is a lifeline. This new community bakery is designed to address two urgent needs at once: food security and employment. By creating stable jobs for local workers, The Hope Bakery will provide families with reliable income in a time of deep economic hardship. At the same time, it will ensure consistent access to fresh, nutritious bread for displaced families who are struggling to meet their most basic daily needs.

Project Parameters:

  • The bakery is located in Mawasi Khan Younis 
  • The bakery is equipped to produce 3,000 loaves of bread per hour
  • The target beneficiaries are approximately 300 families to start, with a goal of 1,500 families daily
  • The initial budget is $150,000 (including capital costs and operational costs)
