UDHIJAH YEMEN

SANA’A, YEMEN October 29, 2026 — Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, recently supported 369 children in Marib, Al Hudaydah and Sana’a, Yemen, by providing back-to-school kits and cash assistance to help cover the cost of school supplies and uniforms for the new school year.

According to Mazen Mokhtar, CEO at Baitulmaal, the kits included  uniforms, notebooks, pencils, essential stationery, and other supplies.

“For orphaned children in Yemen, getting school supplies can be difficult, especially when their families are already struggling. We hope this support makes things a little easier for them and helps them keep going with their education,”said Mokhtar.

According to UNICEF’s 2025 year-end humanitarian report, 3.2 million children in Yemen were out of school, highlighting the challenges children face in accessing education.

In addition to providing back- to- school kits to orphans in Yemen, Baitulmaal has also supported with borehole and water wells construction, provided fresh meat for Udhiyah, distributed Ramadan food packages, delivered more than $4 million in medical aid, constructed solar-powered water wells, and provided winter aid and hygiene kits .
