AMMAN, JORDAN, January 8, 2026 — Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, recently distributed winter clothing vouchers to 450 people living in Amman.

According to Ahmed Sherif, senior manager of international programs at Baitulmaal, the winter clothing vouchers primarily reached orphans, refugees, people with disabilities, and women.

The voucher approach allowed beneficiaries and their caregivers to choose winter clothing that met their individual needs, ensuring a comfortable fit while preserving dignity and choice.

“Thanks to our donors, families in Jordan facing the harsh winter can access warm clothing that helps them stay warm with dignity and hope,”said Sherif.

According to the World Food Program, 77% of refugees in Jordan were food insecure, highlighting the financial pressures many refugee households face when trying to meet basic needs, including adequate preparations for winter

In addition to providing winter aid in Türkiye, Baitulmaal has also delivered $5.35 million in emergency aid, Ramadan food packages, supported Uyghur refugee students with back-to-school kits and distributed meals to vulnerable families.
