SIDON, LEBANON April 4, 2026 -- Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, recently conducted two mobile medical clinics at the Hikmat Al-Sabbagh Secondary School shelter and Al-Omaniah shelter in Lebanon, providing life-saving care and treatment for chronic illnesses to 280 vulnerable families.

The medical team included a general practitioner and a pharmacist, who provided on-site consultations, prescribed treatments, and distributed essential medications to address urgent health needs.

According to Ahmed Sherif, Senior Manager of International Programs at Baitulmaal, the mobile clinic operates from a specialized van designed to reach people who otherwise lack access to healthcare. The mobile clinic is expected to continue serving people in shelters, providing essential medical care and addressing urgent health needs during the ongoing crisis.

“The mobile clinics helped ease urgent health needs on the ground and underscored how critical continued medical care is for our Lebanese brothers and sisters who are displaced and living in vulnerable conditions,” said Sherif.

A fire truck supported by Baitulmaal is also being mobilized l in Tyre, where it is being used for both water distribution and fire response efforts.
