Through the Wellness for Mamas & Babies Fund, Baitulmaal works to expand access to maternal and infant healthcare, supporting healthier pregnancies, safer deliveries, and stronger beginnings for families who need it most.
Why Maternal Healthcare Matters
Pregnancy and childbirth should not place a mother’s life at risk. Yet in many regions, limited access to healthcare makes pregnancy dangerous for both mothers and babies.
Maternal and infant mortality rates are significantly higher in vulnerable and Muslim-majority communities, where healthcare systems are often under-resourced or disrupted.
Access to proper maternal care helps prevent complications, supports healthy development, and gives families a stronger start, reducing risks that are often preventable.

- Nutrition counseling for mothers and babies worldwide
In Somalia, a new Baitulmaal Hope Hospital serves between 50 and 100 patients each day, helping mothers and newborns access essential care in underserved communities.
