You can help with a donation today
Widespread, man-made humanitarian and financial crises in Lebanon have driven entire communities, including Syrian refugees, below the poverty line.
- Send emergency food assistance
- Deliver hygiene supplies
- Provide medicines and healthcare
- and other aid as needed
An Economic and Humanitarian Emergency
According to the World Food Program, Lebanon relies on imports for approximately 85% of the country’s food supply.
In August 2020, an explosion at the Port of Beirut shattered glass and caused buildings within six miles to collapse, severely limiting already-scarce food supplies.
This catastrophe not only worsened the hunger and economic crisis in Lebanon, but it also killed approximately 100 people and injured thousands.
The country’s healthcare system, which was already struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic, was further strained and continues to face long-term roadblocks.
