Job Description: Content Coordinator

Location: Remote (Irving, TX)

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Content Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The Content Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing Baitulmaal’s communications content to effectively convey our mission, engage stakeholders, and drive awareness and support for our programs. Ideal candidates should have excellent writing skills, WordPress competency, and experience with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, and be able to deliver tasks on or before time with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and edit compelling content for press releases, newsletters, website updates, and other communications materials.
  • Coordinate internal communications efforts to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across departments.
  • Develop promotional and other content for events.
  • Synthesize information from field aid completion reports for distilling into press releases and donor updates for publication on websites, emails, and newswires.
  • Use provided templates to create event promotional materials, including postcard flyers, posters, social media images, landing pages, and event pages.
  • Work with and deliver digital media to optimize online delivery, including page load speed and SEO considerations.
  • As needed, assist with writing, light graphic design, and other communication duties.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, preferably within the non-profit sector or a mission-driven organization.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and platforms is a must (Fluency in American English).
  • Strong digital communications skills, including proficiency in content creation.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS).
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be computer literate and comfortable in an online environment.
  • Competency in Adobe Creative Cloud and with Google, WordPress, and other online platforms.
  • Passion for humanitarian work and a commitment to Baitulmaal’s mission.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to deliver tasks on time with minimal supervision (remotely).
  • Understand and be dedicated to accountability, quality, and excellence
  • Can produce high-quality work that is accurate, complete, and delivered on or before the deadline.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
