Civil Unrest, Extreme Poverty
Violence has driven numerous Syrians from their homes and seeking refuge. Palestinians are trapped in the 141 square mile-long open-air Gaza prison. Lebanon is struggling with economic collapse. Yemen is suffering from civil war and what has been called the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
Various humanitarian crises and government neglect strip Middle Eastern communities of essential resources such as food, clean water, crucial medical care and protective shelter, resulting in widespread, preventable death.
