UDHIJAH YEMEN

ISTANBUL, TÜRKIYE, February 28, 2026 — Baitulmaal, a Dallas-based international humanitarian nonprofit, recently distributed food vouchers to 1,000 Uyghur refugee families  living in East Türkiye during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Ahmed Sherif, senior manager of international programs at Baitulmaal, most of the beneficiaries included widows, orphans and the elderly.

“We would like to express our gratitude to our brothers and sisters from Baitulmaal who have helped us and provided us Ramadan assistance, so that the widows and orphaned children from East Türkiye would not suffer during Ramadan, " said a beneficiary. “May Allah grant them peace and comfort.”
