As Afghanistan reels from instability and unrest, thousands of Afghans are newly displaced — over 270,000 in 2021 alone, according to the UN. In total, over 4 million Afghans have been driven from their homes, accounting for the second-largest displaced population in the world after Syria.

An Escalating Crisis
From political instability to a global pandemic, economic meltdown and extreme drought, Afghanistan is reeling from multiple difficulties.
Millions of Afghans have not received salaries in months. Thousands of families who could once afford to eat meat a few times a week now subsist on bread and potatoes when — or if — they can grow it, find it, or afford it.
That number has spiked to 8.7 million Afghans who are living in near-famine conditions. Over 70% of Afghanistan’s population suffered from hunger at some point last year – and more may suffer from hunger as the difficulties grow.
Your donation can send life-saving food and supplies to alleviate their suffering.
