Job Title: Donor Care Intern

Job Type: Part-Time Internship

Reports To: Donor Care Manager

The Donor Care intern supports the Operations Department by ensuring accurate donor profiles, maintaining donor satisfaction, and fulfilling donor requests. This role involves assisting the Donor Care Manager and contributing to the organization’s growth by handling donor-related tasks and communications.

Main Responsibilities: 

• Report to the donor Care Manager in the Operations Department.
• Answer and manage calls on Baitulmaal’s main phone number, providing general
• information and directing inquiries to appropriate team members.
• Maintain and update donor profiles on NS, contacting donors for missing information (e.g., email, address).
• Follow up on unfulfilled pledges, expired credit cards, and recurring donations (including sponsorships).
• Receive and process donations over the phone as needed.
• Review returned mail, contact donors to update information, and record suggestions or complaints for the Donor Care Manager.
• Analyze donor surveys and share findings with the Donor Care Manager.
• Reach out to donors to confirm their preferred communication methods and update profiles accordingly.
• Support additional donor care initiatives as needed to enhance satisfaction and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills 

• Remote position with the ability to attend events or work in the office as needed, including weekends.
• Proven experience in donor care or similar roles.
• Proficiency in Google Apps and MS Office (Excel and Outlook).
• Strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• High ethical standards, discretion, and confidentiality when handling donor information.
• Passion for the organization’s mission and ability to collaborate within a diverse team.
• A high school diploma is required; additional qualifications are a plus.
