We have sent 2, 40-foot containers and a 20- foot container totalingapproximately $135,000, which has been paid in full Alhamdulillah,to Jordan, filled with Braille paper for the Braille Quran project in which the Qurans are in print at this time. They are looking for a printer which will cost approximately $60-70,000.
Baitulmaal will try to collect funds for this as well inshaAllah. The Braille Qurans are being distributed all over the world free of charge. So please help us to keep supplying the paper for them and to help get a printer which they are so desperately in need of to assist them in their endeavors to help the needy blind. What a wonderful feeling to know that you have helped someone to read what they could only hear at one time. SubhanAllah.
Mosque in Palestine There is an upcoming Masjid in Palestine in the Jenin area. So far we have finished the first and second floor, leaving only on the final phase of of the construction which includes the minaret, fencing, and minor cosmetic touch ups. We hope to have it finished by the end of 2008 insha’Allah. We have paid approximately $100,000 and still need $25,000 for final completion of the project. Please see photo gallery.
